The exact mechanism of prazosin in bringing down blood pressure is unknown. However, this alpha-blocker drug is known to cause a decrease in peripheral blood pressure through a direct action on the vascular smooth muscles relaxing and dilating the blood vessels so the blood can flow freely across the system. The vasodilator effect of Prazopress XL is due to the blockage of postsynaptic alpha-adrenoceptors that are known to constrict the blood vessels.
These side effects may occur as your body starts adjusting to prazosin. If any of these adverse effects persist, immediately seek medical attention. Lightheadedness or dizziness upon standing up is yet another common side effect of Prazopress XL, which eventually subsides.

I am using Prazopress XL instead of Minipress because it is cheap and easily available. I always buy Prazopress XL online from pharmaexpressrx.
