Able is actively composed of azilsartan, a drug that inhibits or blocks the conversion of angiotensin I into angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is an agent that has an effect of vasoconstriction, meaning constriction or narrowing of the blood vessels. By blocking the angiotensin receptor, Able helps inhibit the conversion of angiotensin I into II. In simple words, the drug blocks the vasoconstrictor effects of angiotensin II, causing dilatation of the blood vessels, resulting in a good flow of blood across the system.

Dose

• Typically, the recommended dose of Abel in adults is 40 mg once daily, especially in patients who are also taking diuretics to lower their blood pressure levels.
• Follow all instructions carefully before you start taking Abel. If you have any questions on how to use this high blood pressure drug, ask your doctor.
• Use Abel tablets regularly to get the most benefit out of it. Remember, take your dose at the same time every day as advised.
• Keep taking this hypertension medicine even if you feel well or even if your blood pressure is under control. Do not stop the treatment without speaking to your doctor.
