Ciplox 250 Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.

Precautions

• Pregnancy: Ciplox 250 MG Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy due to the risk of adverse effects on developing joints of your foetus. Take Ciplox 250 MG Tablet only upon your doctor's recommendation.
• Breast-feeding: Using Ciplox 250 MG Tablet is not known to be harmful in breastfeeding. It passes into breast milk in small amounts. However, if you are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine. The baby should be observed for symptoms of yeast infection like diarrhoea, thick white coating on the tongue and diaper rash.

• Antibiotic resistance: Finish your entire course of treatment with Ciplox 250 MG Tablet, even if the condition gets better, to avoid antibiotic resistance (a condition where the bacteria become resistant to antibiotics). • Diarrhoea: Ciplox 250 MG Tablet can cause diarrhoea because it may also kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine. Get emergency medical help if you experience severe diarrhoea that is watery or bloody. Consult your pharmacist/doctor before taking anti-diarrhoeal medication.
• Driving or operating machinery: Ciplox 250 MG Tablet may cause dizziness, confusion, or disorientation. Hence, do not perform activities such as driving vehicles or operating machines if you experience any of these symptoms.
• Kidney diseases: Use Ciplox 250 MG Tablet with extreme caution if you have kidney problems due to the risk of kidney damage. Your doctor may adjust the dose of this medicine based on your condition.
