   Causes of impotence:

"The main and primary cause of the impotence is the inadequate blood supply to the male reproductive system during the love-making activity."

Psychological conditions :
In about 60% cases, psychological conditions are found to be the reason of impotence. Anxiety, depression, nervousness, and performance pressure are the psychological conditions that affect the man's performance during the love making activity. Many times men just are too much overwhelmed to enjoy the love-making session. This makes them to think a lot about their capability during love making activity. Sometimes they feel that the size of their male reproductive organ is not up to the mark. This type of the unnecessary things makes them conscious about their performance. As a result men suffer with the impotence. Too much stress and tensions can cause this disease. Stay tension free to enjoy love-making sessions. This is the one of the most commonly occurring cause of this impotency problem.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Physical injuries
Physical injury either to the male reproductive organ or any other part in the male reproductive system can result into the impotence. If your nerves in the male reproductive organ get damaged then no treatment can help you to overcome impotence. Damage to the testis or scrotum can make you impotent permanently. Even any injury to the thighs or groin also leads to the impotency in the men. It is very necessary to take a good care of your intimate parts in order to maintain the optimum health of the love life.

 Diabetes :
Diabetes results into impotence. The increase in the sugar levels is no good for health. This leads to the variety of the health problems. Due to the increased sugar levels in the blood the density of the blood is increased. As a result the blood flow is disturbed. Even to the male reproductive organ the blood supply becomes less, which results into impotence. More than 60% of the diabetic patients are found to be suffering with the impotence. Even the less sugar levels also affect the functioning of male reproductive organ. So, try to maintain the sugar levels in the body at normal level to stay healthy.

 Obesity

Obesity is the abnormal health condition caused by the deposition of the excessive limit of fats in the body. In obesity the fat deposition is too much in the body that leads to the deposition of the unsaturated fats in the blood stream. This disturbs the blood circulation to other body parts. Subsequently the blood supply to the male reproductive system is reduced thus resulting the malfunctioning of the mechanism of male reproductive system. Obesity also reduces the stamina of the man. Thus, obesity makes the man an incompatible partner during the love making activity. Many of the obese men are noted to be suffering with the impotence.

 Hormonal imbalance

Hormonal Imbalance causes impotence. The abnormality in the levels of the testosterone in the man's body affects the functioning of the male reproductive system. The decrease in the urge of love-making is the first symptom of hormonal imbalance. The muscles in the male reproductive system remain flexible and tough due to the testosterone levels in the body. If the testosterone levels in the body are lowered your reproductive organ gets flimsy or you end up too quickly.

 Blood pressure

During the blood pressure the blood supply is being disturbed to all body parts. This results in the impotence. Blood pressure is very common abnormal health conditions observed in men and is being related to the impotence through the past. Man requires an increased blood supply to attain the stiffness of male reproductive organ. But, during the blood pressure this blood supply is not possible thus causing the impotence in men. Blood pressure patients have double the chances of suffering with this disease

 Drugs and Surgeries

Drugs and Surgeries may cause impotence in men. Very few cases are reported due to this. Drugs like tranquilizers, heart medications, and high blood pressure controlling medications, antidepressants, and sedatives may result in either temporary or permanent impairment of the mechanism of male reproductive system. The major surgeries done for the cancer, specifically bladder cancer (radical cystectomy) and for prostate cancer (prostatectomy) needs to remove the nerves from the male reproductive organ. This affects blood circulation in the male reproductive organ leading to the failure in getting the stiff state of male reproductive organ.

 Heart Problems

Heart Problems may result into impotence. It is has been noted that more than 50% of the heart patients suffer with the heart problems. Weak heart is always going to create the problems in your love life. If you are suffering with the atherosclerosis, then there are double the chances of suffering with heart problems. Due to the atherosclerosis the plaque gets deposited in the arteries. This leads to the abnormal blood supply to the all body parts. Once the blood supply to the male reproductive organ is disturbed, impotence occurs. If you are facing the problem of improper breathing then it will reduce your stamina and you will end up too fast during the love-making sessions.

 Premature ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is the abnormal functioning of the male reproductive system. During this men are unable to hold the ejaculation for not more a minute. As a result the enzyme PDE-5 cuts off the blood supply and you lose the stiffness of reproductive organ too quickly. Thus, the impotence is observed in majority of the patients of the premature ejaculation.

 Peyronie's disease

Peyronie's disease is the condition in which the abnormal curvature of the male reproductive organ takes place. This bending in the reproductive organ occurs due to the physical injury, vitamin E deficiency, or diabetes. The curvature in reproductive organ is formed in the tunica albuginea. Sometimes even the anti-hypertensive drugs known as calcium channel blockers may cause the Peyronie's disease. When a person suffers with the Peyronie's disease the nerves in male reproductive organ are damaged that results in the inconsistent supply of blood to the reproductive organ, thus causing impotency in men.

 Neurological disorders

Brain is the most important organ for satisfactory love-making. All the signals in the body are generated through the brain. After the stimulation, it is only after the signals from the brain that men get stiff state of male reproductive organ. If the working of the nervous system is disturbed, it effects the functioning of entire body, thus even the mechanism of male reproductive system is disturbed. Alzheimer disease, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson disease are the disease that affect nervous system and also found to effect normal functioning of body's system to guide reproductive mechanism in men. Injuries to the brain or spinal cord disturb the signaling system in the brain that results in the various health abnormalities including impotence.

 Drinking Alcohol

Drinking alcohol can result into impotency. It is an unhealthy habit that can land you in very embarrassing situation during the love-making activity. Alcohol intake damages the nerves in the male reproductive organ, this happens when the alcohol in thrown out of the body through the urinary tract. As a result sufficient amount of the blood is not supplied to the reproductive organ. So, the alcoholic men suffer with the impotency. It has been noted through the surveys that about 50% of alcoholic men suffer with this health disorder in which malfunctioning of male reproductive system is noted.

 Chewing or smoking Tobacco

Nicotine content in the tobacco is found to affect the normal functioning of male reproductive system. Smoking or chewing tobacco causes impotence. Once you start smoking the less amount of the oxygen enters in the body this affects the blood circulation as a result less amount of the blood flows to the reproductive organ and the impotence occurs. Whether you chew or smoke tobacco it is going to affect your health badly. Even the other health problems also occur due to the intake of these unhealthy food items.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   Types of impotence
 Endocrinologic impotence

This type of impotence is observed in the mostly the old men. It is endocrinological disease as it is the outcome of the imbalance in the hormone levels. Hormones are secreted by endocrine glands. If there is some problem with the endocrine glands it leads to the impotence. Thus this type of impotence is called to be endocrinological.

Even the pressure to perform well during the love-making activity leads to the occurrence of this type of impotence. It is generally observed in the men who newly married as they are very much in concern about their performance in love-making activity.

Venogenic impotence if really the serious problem and is very difficult to treat. No oral medication is helpful in this type of impotence. The only option is to go for the surgery.

The drugs like steroids, antidepressants, and antibiotics when taken in excess can certainly damage the functioning of the male reproductive system. Even the intake of the hair loss drugs containing Finasteride for the long time can result on impotence problem.

 Arteriogenic impotence

Arteriogenic impotence occur either due to the narrowing of the arteries in the male reproductive organ or due to the damage to the arteries. This narrowing of the arteries arises either due to the swelling to the prostate or due to the deposition of the plaque. The blood flow from the arteries also gets destructed due to the damage to the arteries. Arteriogenic ED is generally caused by the atherosclerosis. The person who suffers with heart disease is double the times prone to the impotence.

 Neurogenic impotence

Neurogenic impotence has been associated with the nervous system abnormalities. Any damage to the nervous system is always going to affect the body functions.     Treatments of impotence:

Treatments of Impotence are basically divided into two types: Surgical and non-surgical treatments. The detailed description of these treatments is as mentioned below:

 Non-surgical treatments:

These are the most effective treatments of impotence. Non-surgical treatments are used as preliminary modes of treatment. These are always better than the surgical treatments.

  1. Hormonal Therapy: In this treatment the impotence is tried to be cured by increasing the amount of the hormone testosterone in the body. This therapy is given after confirming that person is facing impotency due to the hormonal imbalance. This is the preliminary process of treatment. The success rate is not up to the mark, but is found affective in some cases.
2.Intraurethral Pellet Therapy: The drug, Alprostadil, is being inserted into the male reproductive organ by canal through which urine and semen are excreted. This procedure involves a suppository tube that is to be inserted in the male reproductive organ. You can enjoy the effect for about 2 t0 3 hours. But, people feel it bit risks to insert something inside the male reproductive organ and thus is not so famous.
3.Oral Drugs: Oral drugs are the most effective and successful treatment for the impotence. The success rate of oral drugs as ED treatment is above 95%. Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra are the most famous drugs used to treat impotence (impotence). Oral drugs are basically the medicines belonging to the category of the phosphodiesterase inhibitors that treats impotence by increasing the blood supply to the male reproductive system.
  4. Penile Injection Therapy: Penile injections constitutes of drugs in liquid form that are injected in the male reproductive organ before the love making activity. The medicines used for injecting includes Alprostadil, papaverine, and TriMix. This therapy is bit risky because taking an injection on male reproductive organ is not easy. A small mistake and tissue in male reproductive organ will tear leading to the various health problems.
  5. Vacuum Devices: This treatment includes the cylinder that is placed over the male reproductive organ. This cylinder pumps out the excessive amount of air in the male reproductive organ and allows the blood to fill the vacuum. This treatment is very effective for the 1 to 2 hours of love-making activity. The only thing is you need to the technique properly to get the effect.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Surgical Treatments:

Surgical impotence treatments are considered only when no other methods of treatments are found to be effective. Very rarely the chance for the surgical treatment arises.

  1. Vascular Reconstructive Surgery: This surgical treatment is used only in those men who have damage to the veins and arteries and male reproductive organ. During the vascular reconstructive surgery the reconstruction of the arteries or veins is done. As a result the disturbed blood supply is improved resolving the problem of impotence permanently. The success rate is above 70%.
  2. Semirigid or Malleable Rod Implants: This method utilizes two semirigid or malleable rods that are inserted in the male reproductive organ. These rods help the impotent man to get stiff form of male reproductive system. But the drawback is that if the problem is the structural mechanism takes place then your entire mechanism of male reproductive system is destroyed permanently.
  3. Penile implants: A device including the single metal rod and a ball is inserted into the male reproductive organ during this mechanism. You need to undergo the surgery for this method. The success rate is less in comparison the non-surgical treatment. Experts don't recommend this treatment as there are large numbers of drawbacks.
4.Inflatable Implants: This treatment is the most risky method to cure impotence. In this method a surgery is done and a pump in placed in scrotum, two cylinders are placed in male reproductive organ, and a reservoir is placed in the cylinders or separately below the tissues of the lower abdomen. Very few people go for this treatment and this very expensive too. Most importantly the failure rate is bit high.
