Excessive weight gain is a major issue of concern nowadays. Men as well as women are suffering with this problem on a large scale worldwide. Many health complications are being caused by the excessive weight gain. Heart disorders, blood pressure, sexual health problems like erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation, obesity, pregnancy failures in women, and many more are found to be caused by the excessive weight gain. So, to stay away from these health complications and to maintain the health at the optimum best you need to control the excessive weight gain. 1. Too much intake of the fatty foods is the first commonly observed reasons for the excessive weight gain. You need to control your diet in order to stay away from the excessive weight gain. 2. Lack of physical activity is another cause of the excessive weight gain. Previously people use to do lot of physical work and thus, their weight use to stay in control. But, nowadays many of us do the jobs that demands sitting at one place for more time. Due to this people gain up a lot of weight as they don’t do any physical activity. 3. Diabetes is one of the reasons that results in the excessive weight gain. Some times weight loss is also noted due to the diabetes, but in very rare cases. Diabetes influences the digestion system and slows down the metabolism rate. Due to this the fats and carbohydrates are being stored in the body. This leads to the excessive weight gain.

4. Hypothyroidism is the cause of the excessive weight gain. This occurs due to the improper functioning of the thyroid gland caused due to the hormonal imbalance. Thyroid hormone causes the decrease in the metabolism of the food. This leads to the deposition of the undigested foods in the stomach and causes the increase in the weight gain. If you don’t take a care of hypothyroidism then it may further lead to the obesity, which ultimately results in some severe health complications.

5. Stress and tensions can lead to the increase in the weight. Stress slows down your body process and stores more amounts of the fats to combat with the tensions. This increases the fat content in the body and leads to the excessive weight gain.

6. Inadequate sleep or sleep Apnea is one of the observed reasons for excessive weight gain. It is during the sleep that the proper digestion of the food takes place. But, if you don’t sleep then the digestion mechanism is being disturbed causing the deposition of the fats and carbohydrates in the body. This leads to the excessive weight gain problem.

7. Natural factors like aging and pregnancy in women is found to cause the excessive weight gain. As the person ages the metabolism rate of the body is slowed down. During the pregnancy many women are found to gain weight as they eat more to feed the baby growing in their body. One of the reasons is also the rest they take during the pregnancy. But, still today no exact reason is being found behind the weight gain in pregnant women.
