The active drug of Generic Aciphex, Rabeprazole, is a proton pump inhibitor; this means it inhibits the proton pumps for suppressing the stomach acid secretion. Dose

• If you use Generic Aciphex, make sure you take the dose orally, with or without food, or as advised.
• Swallow a whole tablet with water; do not crush, chew, split or break the pill. You might have to take this antacid at least 1 to 2 times a day.
• If you are a capsule form, take it half an hour before eating food or as advised by your doctor, typically once a day.
• The dose and duration of treatment are based on your condition and response to the drug. So, check with your doctor.
• If required, you may take other antacid drugs along with Generic Aciphex. Make sure you take Generic Aciphex dose at least half an hour before taking any medicine that contains Sucralfate.
