In this busy life when every one is indulged with their job they don’t even have time to take proper care of their health. People are suffering from various types of diseases in day to day life out of which sexual diseases are the most common. In men, erectile dysfunction is the most common of all types of diseases. There may be various causes of erectile dysfunction which includes low flow rate to the penis, nerve damage, vascular disease, diabetics, drugs, hormone disorders, neurological conditions, peyronie’s disease, psychological conditions and many more causes which are end less in today’s world. Out of all the causes discussed above low blood flow rate and nerve damage is the most common cause of the erectile dysfunction.
However there are many causes of the low blood flow rate to the penis leading to the dysfunction which includes Diabetes, High blood pressure, High cholesterol level in the blood. High levels of sugar in the blood due to the diabetes often lead to the damage of small blood vessels and nerves all over the body, which can lower nerve impulse and blood flow necessary of erection. There are many drugs which are commonly prescribed for various common diseases like high blood pressure, heart medications etc which adds up to the degree of impotence however long term use of alcohol and illicit drugs may also lead to increasing the level of impotence, and erectile dysfunction. On the other hand some of the least common causes are hormonal disorders and neurological conditions. In one hand where hormonal is common among 5% of the population on the other hand neurological disorder is common during accidents causing spinal cord and brain injuries.
However various types of treatment for various diseases like pelvic trauma, surgery, radiation therapy to the pelvic region may cause the damage to the veins and nerves needed for the erection. Hence all the above causes for the erection dysfunction among men are very common nowadays which may be the reason of the changing of the life style. However today world has also provided us with lots of ways to live a healthy sexual life as well, just all we have to do is come forward and get the knowledge of all about the healthy living.
