Traditionally erectile dysfunction has been an embarrassing subject to discuss for many men who suffer with it in relative silence. One such drug is Levitra or vardenafil as it is chemically known. Though Levitra does no have a massive market share like the similar product Viagra the results of Levitra are very similar. One defining difference and possibly advantage vardenafil has over the Viagra compound is that, comparatively speaking, the effect of the drug does not last as long. The effects of Viagra will be visible for many hours after sexual activity whereas with Levitra the effects are visible for a much shorter time.
Unfortunately, as with any erectile dysfunction correcting drug, there are side effects to Levitra, specifically nausea, rarer but more serious adverse effects may include abdominal and eye pain, photophobia and palpitation among others. With this in mind it is certainly advisable to ask your health care provider before taking erection inducing drugs. On this note, you should also consider other medication you may be taking, particularly nitrate medication, combining these drugs with vardenafil could have life threatening consequences. Levitra can be purchased in a number of doses, depending on where you live, 2.5mg to 20mg doses are commonly available which can be taken up to once per day fairly safely. The colorful orange pills containing the drug should be taken between 25 minutes and one hour prior to sexual activity for the best effect. In the past you may have questioned the effectiveness of this and similar drugs, but there are many people worldwide who swear by these products, and studies show they do have the desired effect. As with most things in life, try to balance the potential benefits with the potential risks before taking the decision to use Levitra. |
